Whey protein recipe

Whey protein is a popular dietary supplement for fitness enthusiasts and athletes. It contains all the essential amino acids and helps support muscle building and regeneration. But whey protein does not only have to be consumed in the form of shakes. Here are three delicious and healthy recipes to get the most out of your whey protein:

1. Protein Pancakes

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 50g whey protein powder (flavor of your choice)
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Optional: berries or nuts as a topping

Directions:

  1. Mash the bananas in a bowl.
  2. Add eggs and mix well.
  3. Add whey protein powder, baking powder and salt and mix to form a smooth batter.
  4. Heat a coated pan and pour the batter into the pan in batches.
  5. Fry until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Top with berries or nuts and serve.

2. Protein Balls

Ingredients:

  • 100g rolled oats
  • 50g almond butter
  • 50g honey
  • 30g whey protein powder (flavor of your choice)
  • Optional: grated coconut or chopped nuts for rolling

Directions:

  1. Grind oatmeal in a food processor.
  2. Add almond butter, honey and whey protein powder and mix to a sticky consistency.
  3. Form small balls from the mixture.
  4. Optional: Roll the balls in grated coconut or chopped nuts.
  5. Chill in the fridge for at least an hour to firm up.
  6. Enjoy as a quick, high-protein snack.

3. Protein smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 250ml almond milk or milk of your choice
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 30g whey protein powder (flavor of your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter or peanut butter
  • Handful of spinach or kale
  • ice cubes as needed

Directions:

  1. Put all ingredients in a blender.
  2. Blend until you get a smooth consistency.
  3. Add ice cubes if needed and blend again.
  4. Pour into a glass and serve immediately.
